Imagine your website, how will it serve you to add to your solopreneur business?
If your business is to provide service of any kind, if you offer to teach or coach people, or if you want to sell your product, be it you have a digital offer or a physical product that will be shipped to your client, you want people to come and visitt your website.
To get people to come to your website, you need to attract them in some way.
One of the ways to attract people to come to your website is to offer them something that they are interested in getting.
This can be in the form of a downloadable PDF or eBook. It could be an audio file. Or access to a private video, or even private page of resources. This is called a lead magnet.
In my Branding You™ Branding 101 course, I talk about how to set up your lead magnet and incorporate it into your website. You will learn how to add the lead magnet to your site as well as learn how to set up your landing page.
A landing page is simply the page you get your visitor to come to when they are interested in your lead magnet. This page will talk about the leadmagnet, and how it will benefit them, as well as introduce them to your services or products.
On this page, there will be a CTA – which means a Call To Action, usually in the form of a button, as in ‘Sign Up Here’ ‘Count Me In’ ‘Yes, I want the PDF’.
Beside the information about your lead magnet and your service or product, there are no other navigations on this page. This is what makes a page a ‘landing page’ vs a standard page, you are not providing any other distraction to the person on your page, no place to click of to other than your call to action to give you their email address in exchange for the lead magnet.
This is how you build your email list so you can start marketing your solopreneur business to people who are interested in the type of service or product you are offering.
